ReGyp's Recycling Equipment
ReGyp manufactured the recycling equipment for the Kurnell and Cowra plants. Using the design, fabrication and construction capabilities of Cultivate Construction and Central Milling, ReGyp has recycling plants that produce gypsum products suitable for not only the agricultural industry but also high quality industrial grade gypsum.
ReGyp continues to upgrade the gypsum recycling
technology as part of an ongoing Research & Development (R&D) plan. This
includes trials around different waste products, crushing, separation and
finished product specifications to suit the waste streams and gypsum
customers.
Plasterboard plants in Australia do not have the technology or capacity necessary for treating
C&D waste containing contaminants like screws, nails, wall paper etc. ReGyp’s equipment can recycle manufacturing waste as well as
C&D waste. The recycled gypsum product is ~ 90 - 96% of the mined gypsum used in
the original board manufacture, with 2% of the impurities being paper
(organics). This means manufacturing plants requiring industrial grade
gypsum can use up to 25% of recycled gypsum in their mix of raw materials.
