Why SUPER AG Gypsum?
-
SUPER AG Gypsum provides the best dollar per tonne value. See our “Gypsum Cost Comparator”;
-
SUPER Solubility, up to FOUR times the solubility of available mined sources;
-
SUPER AG Gypsum is a high performance pre-digested source of calcium and sulphur suitable for agricultural applications using ground and aerial spread techniques;
-
Lower applications rates (up to 15%) due to its much higher purity than most NSW mined gypsum sources, saving you money.
Plasterboard
manufacturers require a gypsum product with minimal free moisture (H20),
salt (NaCl), clay and sand (silica) for their manufacturing process. This
ensures ReGyp is obtaining quality gypsum in the collected waste stream.
ReGyp then processes the waste to obtain a recycled product that is
acceptable for use in plasterboard and cement manufacturing and agricultural
applications.
Gypsum contains two main elements for soil namely calcium (Ca) and sulphur (S), these are responsible for beneficial effects when used in agriculture, land reclamation and mine site rehabilitation. The calcium in gypsum (Calcium sulphate) can replace exchangeable sodium when applied to sodic soils, whilst also raising the ionic strength of the soil solution helping flocculate otherwise dispersible clays. These soils then become more friable and crops grow better. The sulphur content of gypsum aids the setting of flowers in crops such as canola and lucerne. Read more.....
SUPER Solubility as reported in the NSW AG Facts article, Agfact AC.10:
-
REGYP Kurnell - 2.1 dS/M,
-
Bourke 1996 - 0.4 dS/M
-
Balranald/Riverina 1996 - 1.0 dS/M
-
REGYP Kurnell 2009 - 2.3 dS/M, SUPER AG Gypsum, screened product as measured by EnviroLab 11/10/09*
dS/M - Solubility is expressed as the electrical conductivity of the solution after adding demin water in a controlled and measured testing process.
* Results using certified 3rd Party laboratory in 2009.
In February 2010, ReGyp undertook spreader trials using the Super Ag 10mm screened gypsum product. The results off the spreader were significant, with the Regyp gypsum spreading up to 19m (average 17-19), with various NSW mined gypsum products only achieving 11-13m off the same spreader. This increased spreading distance would equate to approximately $10 per tonne savings through reduced spreading costs.
Add the above savings to the other potential savings from lower applications rates (up to 15% less) due to the higher purity of ReGyp's gypsum products and Super Ag Gypsum can save you as a farmer or spreader money with out compromising results.
ReGyp's recycled products are suitable for ground spreading and the fine milled gypsum products offered through Central Milling are suitable for aerial application and 'in-solution' irrigated application.
